Data Recovery Wizard offers three recovery modes, so you can choose the fastest and most effective method to solve your particular data loss problem. It requires no technical knowledge to use it.

Deleted File Recovery is used, as the name suggests, to recover files that you know have been deleted. You select the drive to scan, the Wizard searches the drive looking for deleted files, and presents you with a folder and file "tree" that you can browse through. Selected file types can be viewed using a built-in viewer. Then you can mark the files you wish to recover and save them to a new location.

Complete Recovery is used when the reason why the data has been lost is not known, or when you know it is something other than accidental deletion, such as formatting the drive. This recovery method uses a deep scan, which takes longer and recovers many fragments of long-deleted files. It also may not recover the names of recovered files, so you will have to examine the files to see what the contents are.

Partition Recovery is used when even the disk partition cannot be found. The Data Recovery Wizard will search the entire hard disk to locate partition information, and present a list of the partitions it finds. Select one, and the recovery will then proceed in the same way as for Complete Recovery.
