DiskInternals Recovery Boot CD

The DiskInternals Recovery CD is a bootable CD containing the latest data recovery software from DiskInternals Research, including Uneraser, Partition Recovery and Office Recovery. It allows you to recover deleted or lost data from a computer hard drive without installing any software on the computer itself. It lets you recover files even if Windows won't boot up.

When recovering data from a computer hard drive, it is not advisable to install any software on the computer because of the risk that you might overwrite wanted data. It is best not even to use the computer under its installed operating system, if the data you hope to recover was on the main (e.g. C:\ ) drive, because Windows will write to the drive even if you don't.

This Recovery CD allows you to perform data recovery under ideal conditions by creating a special bootable Windows environment to work under. The installer uses a tool called PE Builder to build a boot CD using an existing copy of Windows that you already own a license for. To comply with the license conditions for Microsoft Windows this should ideally be the computer you will be recovering data from, but if this is impractical - you should not use the computer containing lost data to prepare the boot CD - then it should be another computer you own which will not be used whilst the Recovery CD is in use.

The Recovery CD is free, but the DiskInternals Research data recovery products included on the CD are trial versions. You will need to purchase a license key (or enter one that you have already purchased) for any of the products that you wish to use to perform data recovery. The Recovery CD supports network access and a copy of Mozilla Firefox is included so you can access help resources and purchase license keys online from within the data recovery software.

Create a DiskInternals Recovery CD today. It's the ideal tool to have handy whenever you find you need to recover data from a computer hard drive.
